White Stopper (Eugenia axillaris)

I like sun and part shade.

I have low water needs.

Size: 12-30 ft tall x 8 ft wide

Bloom Time: Spring and Summer

This aromatic native shrub may reach a height of 30 feet, although most only grow to 12 feet. It is attractive for it’s upright and narrow growth habit and it’s unique fragrance. After established, this shrub is drought tolerant. It prefers full to part shade. Fruits generally form in the fall. The black fruits are eaten by birds and wildlife. Because of the numerous berries and symmetrical form, this stopper is great for birders who enjoy a traditional landscape. This is a great shrub for more narrow areas. It typically grows much taller than wide.
