White Indigo Berry (Randia aculeata)

 Full sun to part shade.

I have low water needs.

Size: 6-10 ft tall x 5-8 ft wide

Bloom Time: Spring

Native to coastal areas and south Florida, this shrub is a great hedge or screening plant with great wind resistance. White indigo berry blooms in the spring, followed by white berries with a blue inside. Some say the plant has a “skunky” odor, others can not smell it. Some people say the berries are edible, others say they are a last resort type berry. If you do choose to eat the berries, they will turn your tongue blue.
