Water hyssop is a low growing ground cover that is typically found along lake edges, marsh edges or retention ponds. The leaves have a rubbery texture and the blooms are small and light purple. This is a larval host plant for white peacock butterflies. Plant this where it can get adequate moisture. It had a spreading habit, and in the right conditions, will flourish.
