Average to high water needs

Size: 0.5- 1 ft tall- 8ft wide

Bloom Time: Spring, Summer, Fall

Swamp twinflower is an upland ground cover occurring naturally in partially shaded edges of forested wetlands. It is a deciduous perennial, so it dies back in the winter and emerges in the early spring. Its long branches will fall to the ground and root where they touch moist soil. It produces pale lavender flowers from spring to fall and the leaves are a host plant for the common buckeye butterfly.
