Snowberry (Chiococca alba)

Blooms best in the sun, but will tolerate some shade.

Low to average water needs.

Size: 6-10 ft tall x 6-10 ft wide

Bloom Time: Spring, Summer, and Fall

This is an evergreen, vine-like shrub that occurs naturally in pine rocklands and coastal hammocks. Its creamy yellow, fragrant flowers typically bloom spring through fall, but may bloom year-round. The flowers provide nectar for various pollinators and the white fruit is a great source of food for birds and other wildlife. This shrub can be left to grow into a natural shape but prunes into a nice hedge very easily. It can be a little aggressive in a home landscape, so it is more fitting for a natural landscape.
