Purple lovegrass is a beautiful, low-growing border grass. It produces a striking spray of purple blooms in the fall. The birds eat its seeds and it is a host for the zebulon skipper butterfly. It is a full, lush alternative to the non-native mondo grass and it makes a great filler for cut bouquets.
