Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea)

Thrives in full to part sun.

Average to high water needs.

Size: 3 ft tall x 2 ft wide

Bloom Time: Summer

Purple coneflower is the epitome of a cottage garden plant! Butterflies use the blooms as a nectar source. If you let the blooms dry on the plant, the birds will eat the seeds. It has lovely purple blooms that make a great cut flower in bouquets. It does best with high volumes of water, so planting near a gutter is a great option!
