Partridge pea is a great addition to your wildflower garden. It thrives on neglect in sandy soil and readily self seeds. Plant it where it will have room to spread. Unlike most other plants, it adds nitrogen and other nutrients to the soil. It is a host for the the Gray Hairstreak, Cloudless Sulfur, and Orange Sulfur butterflies.
