Narrowleaf Ironweed (Vernonia angustifolia)

I bloom best in the sun, but will tolerate some shade.

I have low to average water needs.

Size: 2-3ft tall x 1 ft wide

Bloom Time: Summer and Fall

I am a lovely lavender blooming wildflower for your garden or meadow. The butterflies, bees, and other pollinators absolutely adore me. After blooming, I die back, but will reemerge the following spring. If you are able to let me self seed, I will reward you the following year with more plants. I look great in the middle portion of your garden. I work well along side coreopsis, salvia, and skullcap.
