Muhly grass is a spectacular ornamental grass that is native to Florida and the Eastern United States. In the fall, its cotton candy cloud of blooms can be seen in the distance. It looks lovely in masses. It provides cover and protection for butterflies and other necessary insects. It needs regular watering to get the roots established, but once established, they require no additional irrigation. To keep it looking tidy, you can cut back the blooms in the winter.
