Blue Eyed Grass (Sisyrinchium angustifolium)

Blooms best in the sun, but will tolerate some shade.

Average water needs.

Size: 0.5 ft tall x 1 ft wide

Bloom Time: Spring

This grassy ground cover is a nice surprise in the spring. The grassy leaf blades appear year around, but in the spring, the bright bluish purple blooms pop up in masses. It can tolerate short periods of drought but looks best with consistent moisture. Plant it at the base of a birdbath or where it gets moisture from roof run off.
